Guardians and Cryptids Kairi by Nation - Kairi -

The wildlife in Aucturrim reacts strangely to the signals emitted by the Seven Broadcast Towers, whose origins have been lost to time. When an animal gets too close to a Tower, or touches a Radio emitting one of the seven signals, they will mutate into Kairi, who can harness their signal's element to deal special attacks, or utilize other nearby signals' elements at the cost of energy being used up. Kairi can further mutate after harnessing their element frequently.

- Nakairi -

Some Kairi, most commonly those closest to Broadcast Towers, are so intertwined with their signals that their pre-mutated forms have died out and gone extinct. These creatures are known as Natural Kairi, or more simply as Nakairi.​ Kairi who do not have pre-mutated forms in certain regions are not Nakairi, as they have pre-mutated forms in all other regions they are native to.
